Drugs... we all know the big ones alcohol, cigarets, aspirin, Tylenol, marijuana, cocaine, meth, ect. We know they are damaging to the body... but how.
As I have pointed out before all things are yin and yang when it comes to drugs it's the same thing. some are yin some are yang and with that comes different attributes. Then it can be said that they likewise follow the connections associated to yin and yang. In contemporary America drugs are seen as having beneficial effects mainly aspirin, Tylenol, but what most do not know is the damages that they have on your intestines and digestive system, even your brain. We all know alcohol and cigarets are bad for us in the quantities a majority of us consume them in. Cigarets should not be smoked whatsoever under any circumstance, mainly because the tar, and additives in them, not to mention the addictiveness of nicotine (which is actually more addictive than HEROINE). Highly refined alcohol consumed in large quantities besides the harmful effects on the liver and brain, it also very quickly leads to diabetes cause the highly processed sugars and concentrated sugars in them. Beer besides causing phlegm in the body has the same problems as alcohol, except when consumed once a day has the benefit of replenishing enzymes in the liver and stomach. Now on to the big one where there's a lot of controversy marijuana. Marijuana, in the eyes of more people than the mainstream thinks, is seen as a therapeutic stress reliever that has healing properties and some even take so far that it draws in creativity... The relaxed sensation and following paranoia, besides being the effect of THC, has an energetic explanation. Marijuana can be seen as a key to the door that guards your primordial yin chi. Hence the effects it has on the body, the relaxation is your yin essence being released into your system and the paranoia// anxiety is the fact that since you just expended some of your primary yin essence there is now at this point none to anchor your rambling mind. The long term effects of extreme marijuana usage is knee pain, low back pain achy joints and a lack of vibrancy and clarity in your mind and your daily demeanor... all attributes of severe kidney yin deficiency. Now on to psychedelic drugs and mind altering drugs. All the attributes here are so many to mention that if I did it'd take all day and week long, from all the beginnings of psychedelic and extreme mind altering drugs they have all been in the light of changing ones perception. The beginning from peyote, mushrooms, even marijuana the natives used them as enhancement to meditations and "spirit quests" but again was seen as something sacred that was done in a controlled environment... and when you think about it much as LSD and that branch of drugs was in the beginning by the government and psychiatrists. The problem arises when that respect and control is lost and the drug flows freely into the persons life and lifestyle without any guidance. Once it alters your perception twice it twists your views and to use more times than that it stunts your mental growth and maturity development. When you begin using hard purified mental altering drugs (the new strands of marijuana are not excluded from this) it totally stops your maturity development and ability to mature from the age you began using routinely. So like this you started (w/e drug) when you were 15 and used until you were 25 at the age 26 your mental maturity, sense of responsibility, and rationalization of the world w/o whatever warped perception of the drugs is still at the age of 15! So the final point here is drugs, ALL DRUGS, pharmaceutical and otherwise are poisonous to the body! All drugs and artificial substances cause extreme damage to the liver, inflame all your tissues and cause really severe health conditions down the line. Mind altering drugs or really all drugs send a message that obscures our personal awareness, and stunts our over all growth as people. True freedom, awareness and health is acomplished by balance of diet lifestyle, and total acceptance and ability to cope with our emotions and changes that happen in our body... Freedom is perception with acceptance to change and an ability to change with all things that come. Live free, live true and remember always move with life! Dan
