Kwan Ying Do Kung Fu
Way of honorable masters, Kwan Yin Do is a complete traditional Shaolin system where you’ll learn core martial art and conditioning skills to strengthen and coordinate your body. Kwan Yin Do is a martial art for personal development first and foremost, but brings along great martial skills from a variety of Shaolin Systems. To name a few Kwan Yin Do is a mix of Choy Lay Fut, Long Fist, Preying Mantis, Hung Ga, and Pak Mei.
What do we do in class? How does this apply to self-defense?
Our Kung Fu practice consists of traditional technique drills, forms, associated conditioning and self-defense applications. We apply a straightforward and practical approach to self-defense that easily translates the traditional movements into real world application.
At Move With Life we firmly uphold that self-defense is far more a mindset and lifestyle than simply martial techniques. That being said martial art practice takes up a little over a 3rd of all that encompasses self-defense.
For effective self-defense you must train 3 things:
Escape or Neutralization
We focus on all three of these in our self defense drills and training. In order to bridge the gap between tradition and modern application.
